Arcos de la Frontera está situada al noroeste de la Provincia de Cádiz, en la Baja Andalucía.
Its area covers 525,4 square kilometres. Its geographic situation is as follows: 36º44’33” North latitude and 2º07’074” West longitude. In Arcos are located the central Courts for the following towns: Algar, Alcalá del Valle, Algodonales, Espera, El Gastor, Olvera, Setenil, Puerto Serrano, Torre Alháquime y Villamartín.
There are more than 30.000 inhabitants that spread along the city centre and its several rural villages.
The average temperature is 18º. Maximum temperatures range from 38 and 43º and minimum from 6 and 14º.
Arcos is the typical hill town. It rises over a series of cliffs on the right bank of the river Guadalete and in a wide meander this river forms in its middle course.
