It has also been an orphanage for girls as well as a church. Nowadays is not in use as a church and it is used as a cultural lounge. In its lintel there was the coat of arms of Arcos,\u00a0 nowadays in the Town Hall doorway. It was founded as a convent in the first half of the 16<sup>th<\/sup> century.
